Managing Director's Profile
Andrew Mahaffy grew up in Aberdeen, Scotland during the boom years (1970’s to 1980’s) of the North Sea oil & gas industry. During this time, significant expansion was occurring both in offshore field developments and the growth of the local service industry. Graduating from Edinburgh University (UK) in 1991 with a BEng (hons) degree in Civil Engineering, Andrew returned to Aberdeen to start work in the industry he had grown up with. In 2000, Andrew moved to Perth, WA and subsequently became a proud Australian citizen.
Andrew has directed his career from its roots in offshore structural engineering design & analysis through site engineering of onshore fabrication and offshore construction to project management. Andrew has worked for a number of major international offshore engineering consultancies & installation contractors as well as a local operator prior to starting Cube Offshore. Andrew has 19 years of oil & gas industry experience covering project locations in th UK North Sea, Norway, Australian NWS, East Timor / Australian JPDA, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunai & Singapore.
Andrew enjoys the challenge of developing and implementing engineering solutions with a keen focus on minimising cost and simplifying operations.
