The Scope
Baker Hughes was contracted by Allseas to support commissioning of Chevron’s Wheatstone pipeline. Cube was engaged by Baker Hughes to generate seafastening design for their equipment spread on the Lewek Avior.
The Outcome
Cube Offshore surveyed the vessel deck then completed a simple, flexible, efficient, robust seafastening design for 20 items to the required specifications. The design eliminated the need to lift deck timbers. In addition to Baker Hughes, Cube was required to interface with Allseas and vessel management. Project challenges included working in the holiday period with key contacts on leave, late changing of vessel, changing deck layouts and site survey of equipment. Cube generated the vessel deck layouts, seafastening drawings and report.
