The Challenge
The Linda Platform Boat Fender and Access Ladders were heavily corroded and had been taken out of service. With the helipad also out of service due to suspension of production, this limited maintenance access to the platform.
The Solution
Cube carried out a detailed assessment of the Boat Fender and Access Ladders and devised a cut & removal lift plan using static rigging and rope access techniques.
Replacement Fenders and Access Ladders were designed to meet 100-year cyclonic storm loading and boat impact loads. Linda Platform point cloud data was imported into our 3D modelling software to ensure offshore installation was unobstructed and clash-free. Detailed transport, lift, and fit-up considerations ensured a quick, safe, and efficient installation.
