Scope
Vermilion (VOGA) required new anodes to protect internal and reinforcing steelwork on the Wandoo B gravity based structure. The anodes required to be installed as close as possible to the steelwork to be protected and in ‘clear/open’ water to ensure anode performance.
Outcome
To resist wave loading, the simple frames locked into the gravity based structure using a simple, innovative mechanical design.Cube worked collaboratively with Vermilion to generate the preferred concept as shown in the diagrams below.
Cube were requested to project manage the fabrication and support the transport and installation by providing project engineer offshore to supervise installation.
